Clinical Coordinator - Charge Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Act as the hemodialysis team leader, providing day-to-day direction, supervision, and clinical care for patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis.
• Provide guidance and support to direct patient care staff, including providing feedback for performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, facility procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Coordinate patient care assignments and participate in patient care plan meetings.
• Monitor and supervise all patient care activity during dialysis and respond to emergency situations.
• Assess patient needs, administer medications per physician orders, and communicate concerns to the rounding physician.
• Train and orient new staff members and act as a subject matter expert for the clinical team.
• Supervise the documentation of patient information and ensure educational needs of patients and families are met.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.).
• Registered and licensed to practice in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience.
• Minimum of 3 months of specialized dialysis clinical nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification (or ability to complete the course).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical/surgical nursing.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
