Clinical Coordinator - Charge Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Manage daily clinical decisions and oversee the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient care in a dialysis setting.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to direct patient care staff, including providing feedback and assisting with training and orientation.
• Coordinate shift operations, including patient care assignments, staffing, and documentation supervision.
• Assess patient needs, respond to dialysis treatments, and communicate concerns to rounding physicians.
• Implement changes in patient care/treatment as directed and assume primary responsibility in emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, facility procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Educate patients and families regarding End Stage Renal Disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medication.
• Monitor and supervise the safe and effective use of all medical equipment involved in direct patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.).
• Registered and licensed to practice in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of specialized dialysis nursing experience (chronic or acute setting).
• Current CPR certification or ability to successfully complete a CPR certification course.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical/surgical nursing.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
