Clinical Coordinator - Charge Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Manage daily clinical decisions and oversee the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient care.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to direct patient care staff.
• Coordinate patient care assignments and supervise all documentation of patient information.
• Assess patient needs, respond to dialysis treatments, and communicate concerns to rounding physicians.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, facility procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Train and orient staff, and participate in patient care plan meetings.
• Assume primary responsibility in emergency situations and monitor patient conditions for potential complications.
• Administer medications per physician orders and educate patients and families regarding End Stage Renal Disease and dialysis therapy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.).
• Registered and licensed to practice in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of specialized dialysis nursing experience in either a chronic or acute setting.
• Current CPR certification (or ability to successfully complete a CPR certification course).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical/surgical nursing.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
