About the role

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective management of clinical activities and coordinate patient care across the continuum
  • Apply specialized nursing knowledge and recent advances in practice to ensure continuity of care
  • Perform direct patient care responsibilities
  • Execute teaching and educational responsibilities for individuals or groups
  • Participate actively in Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Engage in academic and research activities and projects
  • Perform administrative duties and other cross-functional tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Current licensure/certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) Level II Rescuer certification
  • Up to 3 years of relevant nursing experience
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team or independently in a self-directed manner
  • Computer literacy and strong decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Master's degree in nursing
  • Experience in Transplant nursing
  • Experience working in an advanced practice role
  • Research experience
