About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective management of clinical activities and coordinate patient care across the continuum
- Apply specialized nursing knowledge and recent advances in practice to ensure continuity of care
- Perform direct patient care responsibilities
- Execute teaching and educational responsibilities for individuals or groups
- Participate actively in Quality Improvement initiatives
- Engage in academic and research activities and projects
- Perform administrative duties and other cross-functional tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Current licensure/certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) Level II Rescuer certification
- Up to 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team or independently in a self-directed manner
- Computer literacy and strong decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Master's degree in nursing
- Experience in Transplant nursing
- Experience working in an advanced practice role
- Research experience
