About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective management of clinical activities and coordinate patient care across the continuum
- Apply specialized nursing knowledge and expertise to ensure continuity in patient care management
- Perform direct patient care responsibilities and administrative duties
- Lead teaching and educational responsibilities for individuals or groups
- Participate actively in Quality Improvement initiatives, academic activities, and research projects
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to support the Ambulatory Transplant team
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Current licensure/certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) Level II Rescuer certification
- Up to three years of relevant experience, including experience in an advanced practice role
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Master's degree in nursing
- Previous experience in Transplant nursing
- Experience participating in research activities
