About the role

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective management of clinical activities and coordinate patient care across the continuum
  • Apply specialized nursing knowledge and expertise to ensure continuity in patient care management
  • Perform direct patient care responsibilities and administrative duties
  • Lead teaching and educational responsibilities for individuals or groups
  • Participate actively in Quality Improvement initiatives, academic activities, and research projects
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to support the Ambulatory Transplant team

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Current licensure/certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) Level II Rescuer certification
  • Up to three years of relevant experience, including experience in an advanced practice role
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Master's degree in nursing
  • Previous experience in Transplant nursing
  • Experience participating in research activities
