About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical, psychosocial, and placement assessments of children, families, and caregivers to determine service needs.
- Develop and implement case plans and intervention strategies that promote child safety, permanency, and well-being.
- Manage child placement referrals and coordinate matches in support, foster, kinship, or adoptive homes.
- Provide ongoing case management, advocacy, and crisis intervention services to children and families.
- Monitor placement stability and family functioning while identifying risks and recommending supports.
- Collaborate with schools, medical providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records and professional documentation.
- Ensure compliance with child welfare regulations, licensing standards, and agency policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of experience working with children in in-home or out-of-home placements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client documentation systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or a related field.
- Professional licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or other recognized behavioral health credentials).
- Experience working specifically within a child placing agency.
- Advanced knowledge of trauma-informed care, family systems, and permanency planning.
- Fluency in Spanish.
