About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical, psychosocial, and placement assessments of children, families, and caregivers to determine service needs.
  • Develop and implement case plans and intervention strategies that promote child safety, permanency, and well-being.
  • Manage child placement referrals and coordinate matches in support, foster, kinship, or adoptive homes.
  • Provide ongoing case management, advocacy, and crisis intervention services to children and families.
  • Monitor placement stability and family functioning while identifying risks and recommending supports.
  • Collaborate with schools, medical providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records and professional documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with child welfare regulations, licensing standards, and agency policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 2+ years of experience working with children in in-home or out-of-home placements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client documentation systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work or a related field.
  • Professional licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or other recognized behavioral health credentials).
  • Experience working specifically within a child placing agency.
  • Advanced knowledge of trauma-informed care, family systems, and permanency planning.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
