About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing coordination and clinical support for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic image-guided procedures.
  • Perform telephone triage for pre- and post-procedure patients, including symptom assessment and escalation of care.
  • Coordinate patient throughput by managing pre-procedure evaluations, procedural readiness, and post-procedure follow-up.
  • Facilitate communication between radiologists, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and referring providers.
  • Manage clinical documentation, including reviewing incoming requests, requesting outside records, and uploading imaging.
  • Provide intra-procedural nursing care, including patient assessment and assistance with procedural sedation.
  • Arrange for preauthorizations for medications and requested imaging (MRI, CT, etc.).

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • BSN or MSN (with an Associate's/Diploma in Nursing).
  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience in adult procedural care (e.g., CPU, MPU, IR, OR) or Pre-Op/PACU.
  • 2 years of recent experience in a clinical leadership role (e.g., charge nurse, preceptor).
  • Valid ACLS, BLS, and CAC Certifications.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a clinical care coordinator or in case management.
  • Experience in adult ambulatory care including telephone triage.
  • Previous experience providing care to adult Interventional Radiology or surgical patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide multidisciplinary team leadership.
