About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide culturally sensitive, team-based nursing care to patients within the Von Voigtlander OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic.
  • Perform phone and referral triage, including clinical assessment, screening, and providing clinical advice.
  • Conduct nurse visits (in-person, virtual, or phone) and assist with in-clinic hands-on procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care including medication management, placing orders per protocol, and relaying test results.
  • Provide direct patient assessment, education, and counseling based on the nursing process.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care and patient progress in electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and ancillary services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel and serve as a resource to the clinical team.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
  • Educational requirement: A Bachelor's degree in Nursing OR an Associate/Diploma in Nursing with a Master's degree or higher in Nursing.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery or within an OB/Gyn clinic.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of RN experience providing direct care to gynecology patients (assisting with specialty procedures).
  • BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of ambulatory care experience within OB/GYN.
  • One year of Maternal Fetal Medicine ambulatory care experience.
  • Experience with MiChart, EPIC, Cisco Finesse, Word, and Excel.
  • Certification in Ambulatory Nursing or Obstetric Nursing.
  • Experience in specialty GYN ambulatory care (e.g., Vulvar, Peds GYN, Transgender Patients, or Chronic Pelvic Pain).
