Clinical Care Coordinator III (RN) - OBGYN

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient care, health education, and clinical protocols within an OBGYN practice.
• Manage electronic medical records (EMR), including data collection, chart management, and clinical information abstraction.
• Execute nursing interventions such as medication/immunization administration and point of care testing (POCT).
• Coordinate multidisciplinary healthcare services, including arranging diagnostic tests and reviewing results.
• Handle patient triage via telephone, patient portal, and in-person visits.
• Lead or participate in health initiatives to address healthcare gaps and promote positive patient outcomes.
• Mentor and precept clinical staff, including medical assistants and other nurses.
• Maintain infection control compliance and ensure patient privacy according to HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of related clinical experience.
• Current and unrestricted New York State RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Systems (EMR) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff and patient population.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of outpatient OB/GYN clinical experience.
• 2 years of related supervisory or leadership experience.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Experience in a physician practice setting.
