Clinical Associate - Med Surg

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to meet personal, physical, and comfort needs within the Med Surg unit
• Perform hourly rounds on patients and assist with admissions, including room setup and patient orientation
• Obtain vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure
• Assist patients with meals and daily living activities
• Follow the established plan of care in collaboration with the staff nurse
• Observe and adhere to all infection control policies and procedures
• Act as a patient and family advocate to ensure high-quality, compassionate service

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Terminology course
• Previous or current experience in an acute care hospital setting
