Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

Responsibilities

• Teach in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, with primary responsibilities in pre-licensure programs
• Employ diverse teaching and learning strategies across classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development, course planning, improvement, and evaluation
• Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education
• Engage in service activities consistent with the mission of the School of Nursing and the broader university
• Contribute to institutional goals for inclusive excellence

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in nursing or a doctoral degree in a related field with a Master's degree in nursing
• Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois
• Clinical experience as a registered professional nurse
• Teaching experience gained through prior appointments or during graduate study
• Potential to establish and maintain a program of scholarship consistent with the assigned rank

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in specialties such as medical-surgical, psychiatric-mental health, community health, obstetrical nursing, pathophysiology, or pharmacology
