About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the academic officer and administrator for the Physician Assistant Studies Program
  • Oversee program planning, strategic development, and fiscal management
  • Lead the ARC-PA accreditation process, ensuring adherence to all standards and policies
  • Supervise medical directors, instructional faculty, and program staff
  • Manage student recruitment, faculty hiring, and clinical affiliation agreements
  • Develop collaborative relationships with regional healthcare institutions and the philanthropic community
  • Teach within the program according to faculty contract requirements
  • Lead quality improvement processes, including continuous programmatic review and analysis

Requirements

  • Master's degree in physician assistant studies
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Valid New Jersey Physician Assistant license
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time higher education experience within a physician assistant program
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the ARC-PA accreditation process
  • Proven leadership ability and interpersonal skills to build internal and external partnerships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (DMS, Ph.D., or Ed.D.) in a related field
  • Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and empirical research
  • Experience securing external funding for academic programs
