About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction for periodontic rotations and simulation lab instruction for predoctoral dental students
- Deliver clinical instruction and direct supervision of patient care for post-graduate students in the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics
- Teach didactic courses related to the periodontics curriculum
- Participate in administrative committee assignments
- Assume directorship of predoctoral courses as teaching development progresses
Requirements
- DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation (or a comparable international degree)
- Completion of an Advanced Dental Education Program in Periodontics accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation (or a comparable international program)
- Current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Wisconsin, or eligibility for a Wisconsin dental faculty license by the time of appointment
- Current CPR certification

- Previous clinical teaching experience
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence
- Potential for conducting high-quality research
