Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice students
• Develop, implement, and evaluate innovative curricula utilizing experiential pedagogies and adult learning theory
• Create, distribute, and grade student assignments and assessments independently
• Maintain and update course materials on the Canvas learning management system
• Participate in curriculum design, program coordination, and faculty governance meetings
• Provide academic advisement and support to meet student needs
• Engage in scholarly activities, including grant writing, publications, and presentations
• Participate in university-wide recruitment, admission events, and community service

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (required)
• Active New York State Registered Nurse license
• Proficiency in Canvas and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in nursing
• Specialty certification
• 5 years of experience teaching at the collegiate level
• 7 years of clinical experience
• Experience with nursing simulation
