Clinical Assistant Professor

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation of classroom and laboratory instruction.
• Supervise clinical instruction and laboratory sessions for the Pre-Licensure Nursing program.
• Perform course development, exam writing, and item analysis.
• Participate in student advising, registration, and academic counseling.
• Engage in university and departmental committees, including accreditation and self-study report preparation.
• Maintain an active campus presence, including mandatory attendance at faculty meetings and departmental functions.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Doctorate (PhD or EdD) in Nursing or a related field currently in progress.
• Unencumbered New York State Professional RN license.
• Current CPR certification (Professional Rescuer or Health Provider).
• Demonstrated expertise in women and children's health.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet tools, and electronic medical records.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including visual/hearing acuity and manual dexterity for lab equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in college-level teaching.
• Extensive scholarly contributions (required for tenure track consideration).
