Clinical Assistant Professor in School Psychology

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Director of Clinical Training for the School Psychology program area.
• Coordinate and teach practicum by maintaining and enhancing school and clinic partnerships in the community.
• Build relationships with on-site supervisors and secure practicum placements.
• Advise and mentor students across undergraduate and graduate programs to ensure timely program completion.
• Serve as a Capstone Director and committee member for students in the EdD program.
• Engage in service to the School of Education, including shared governance committee work and monthly meetings.
• Collaborate with program faculty on admissions decisions for EdS, PhD, and EdD programs.
• Support program events such as new student orientation, open houses, and end-of-year celebrations.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in School Psychology or Educational Psychology.
• Licensed psychologist in Illinois.
• Credentialed school psychologist through the state education agency (or eligible for licensure reciprocity in Illinois).
• 3+ years of experience as a practicing school psychologist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching at the university level.
• Experience building systems for supervision and student peer-mentoring.
• Experience supervising school psychology practicum students and/or interns.
