Clinical Assistant Professor in School Psychology

Responsibilities

• Maintain a 4/4 teaching load, instructing graduate courses across the EdS, PhD, and EdD programs
• Advise and mentor students to ensure timely program completion
• Serve as a Capstone Director and committee member for students in the EdD program
• Engage in service to the school psychology program and the School of Education, including shared governance and monthly meetings
• Support program events such as new student orientation, open houses, and end-of-year celebrations
• Collaborate with faculty on admissions decisions for graduate programs

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in School Psychology or Educational Psychology
• 3+ years of experience as a practicing school psychologist
• Expertise in assessment, prevention, intervention, and consultation within an MTSS framework
• Strong commitment to urban education and serving historically minoritized P-12 student bodies

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching at the university level
• Bilingual expertise and experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse P-12 students
• Licensed psychologist in Illinois and credentialed school psychologist through the state education agency (or eligible for reciprocity)
