Clinical Assistant Professor

Responsibilities

• Teach primarily in the Didactic Phase of the Physician Assistant (PA) Program
• Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum, including preparing syllabi and course outlines
• Coordinate and deliver course content, managing a workload equivalent to three courses per semester
• Prepare and review exams, collaborating with faculty on test construction and item analysis
• Evaluate student performance, monitor progress, and assist in the remediation process
• Serve as a faculty advisor, providing counseling and intervention to PA students
• Participate in the PA program admission process and clinical site visits
• Engage in PA education research and contribute to the program's self-study and ARC-PA accreditation processes
• Attend committee meetings, program activities, and campus events

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical and/or teaching experience
• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA Program
• Master's degree (MS, MPA, MPH) required; Doctoral degree preferred
• Current NCCPA Certification
• Eligibility for New Jersey State licensure
• Knowledge of the physician assistant program accreditation process
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of clinical or teaching experience
• Proven record of fostering empirical research and scholarship
