Clinical Assistant Professor, Biology

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Anatomy and Physiology I and II, as well as other Biology courses as needed.
• Develop and update curriculum to reflect current scientific knowledge and pedagogical best practices.
• Advise and mentor students in academic and career planning.
• Participate in departmental, school, and university service, including committee work and program development.
• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to support the growth of Natural Sciences and Health Sciences programs.
• Engage in professional development to stay current in the field.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Biology, Physiology, Health Sciences, Physical Therapy, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level, specifically with Anatomy and Physiology.
• Experience with laboratory instruction and hands-on learning.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Brightspace.
• Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
