Clinical Assistant Professor, Audiologist

Responsibilities

• Provide undergraduate and graduate teaching in audiology
• Manage and provide clinical supervision for graduate students completing clinical practicum experiences
• Advise undergraduate students regarding their academic and professional progress
• Engage in service at the University, College, and Departmental levels
• Pursue creative and scholarly work with an emphasis on community engagement and student involvement
• Participate in interprofessional collaboration within the York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute

Requirements

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Ph.D. in Audiology or a related field from an accredited program
• Current certification in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-A) and/or the American Board of Audiology (ABA)
• New York State Audiologist licensure or eligibility for licensure
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience providing audiology services across the lifespan
• Demonstrated expertise in hearing assessment, amplification, and aural rehabilitation
• Experience working as part of an interprofessional team
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising graduate student clinicians in audiology clinical practicum settings
• Previous academic teaching experience with coursework in hearing science, audiologic assessment, hearing technology, or aural rehabilitation
• Experience supporting students pursuing hearing competency or deafness specialization training
