About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide didactic and clinical teaching to resident and pre-doctoral students
- Manage patient care and supervise students in a clinical setting
- Serve on the Marquette University School of Dentistry Medical Emergency Response Team
- Participate in scholarly activities and academic service as appropriate
Requirements
- DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation (or equivalent foreign degree)
- Completed advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation (or equivalent foreign program)
- Current, valid license to practice dentistry in the State of Wisconsin, or eligibility for a dental faculty license in Wisconsin
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical experience in moderate sedation
- Previous clinical teaching experience
- Potential for teaching excellence and high-quality research
