About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach chemistry and/or anatomy and physiology in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs
- Develop and implement curricula and course planning in collaboration with faculty
- Employ diverse teaching and learning strategies across classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings
- Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education
- Engage in service activities consistent with the mission of the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the University
- Contribute to institutional goals for inclusive excellence
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in a field related to primary teaching responsibilities (professional degrees are also considered)
- Teaching experience in chemistry or anatomy and physiology in both classroom and laboratory settings
- Ability to establish and maintain a program of scholarship consistent with the rank of the position
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching within a nursing program or health sciences context
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in higher education
