Clinical Adjunct Staff

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical or laboratory sections for the BSN program under the leadership of faculty.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and role modeling for nursing students.
• Orient students and make clinical assignments consistent with specific course competencies.
• Supervise students during clinical rotations and evaluate progress through formative and summative assessments.
• Communicate clinical concepts and competencies to both students and clinical staff.
• Maintain collaborative relationships between the college and clinical partners.
• Support the mission and philosophy of Ashland University.

Requirements

• Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Completion of an approved RN education program.
• BSN degree or current enrollment in a graduate nursing program (Master's or Doctoral).
• At least two years of professional nursing practice experience.
• Demonstrated beginning involvement in teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
