Clinic Services Representative I - Registration

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Schedule and maintain appointments using the Practice Management (IDX) program
• Perform patient check-in and update demographic and insurance information in computer records
• Verify insurance coverage and determine eligibility for federal and state programs
• Process full registration information for new and established patients
• Respond to routine and complex inquiries from patients, physicians, and staff
• Perform cashier duties and generate daily reports or schedules

Requirements

• 3 years of progressively responsible clerical experience
• 1 year of experience in a business setting involving medical insurance or billing activities
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare billing practices
• Ability to handle confidential patient records and correspondence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
