Clinic Services Representative I - Billing

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient accounts for the Eric B. Chandler Health Center and its affiliates
• Prepare reports to accurately identify all FQHC billable services
• Generate electronic and hard copy insurance claims and patient statements to ensure maximum reimbursement
• Process patient and insurance company payments and perform cashier responsibilities
• Assess A/R reports to identify and manage delinquent patient accounts
• Update and process patient insurance coverage discrepancies

Requirements

• Four (4) years of office clerical experience
• Three (3) years of experience in a physician, hospital, or health center billing setting
• Proven experience managing various types of insurance billing processes
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing practices
• Proficiency in medical and dental terminology
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and facility staff via telephone and in person

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
