Clinic Service Representative II

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of simple and complex registration activities at the Eric B. Chandler Health Center and its affiliate sites.
• Provide efficient and courteous services when scheduling patient appointments.
• Utilize computer systems to process full registration information for new and established patients at every visit.
• Receive, review, and respond to routine and complex inquiries from patients, colleagues, physicians, and State Presumptive Eligibility staff.
• Perform cashier duties and generate daily reports.
• Communicate work-related problems to the Team Supervisor or Assistant Manager.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience in a physician, hospital, or health center billing setting, including management of various insurance billing processes.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and other third-party payer billing practices.
• Ability to work with office equipment and handle confidential patient records and correspondence.
• Strong attention to detail for proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
