Clinic Director

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight and direction of clinical services, including direct and indirect patient care and patient safety functions
• Serve as the senior on-site medical authority for the facility
• Lead clinical governance activities including medical staff conduct, documentation standards, and infection prevention
• Implement and oversee clinical governance policies, procedures, and protocols
• Lead quality management and performance improvement activities
• Direct investigation and resolution of sentinel events, adverse events, and clinical concerns
• Supervise and provide clinical oversight to physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers
• Provide direct patient care as required to support timely access to care
• Ensure complete, accurate, and medically defensible clinical documentation
• Support emergency planning, drills, and training for medical emergencies

Requirements

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license in Maryland
• Unrestricted DEA license to prescribe controlled medications
• Minimum of six years post-residency experience as a board certified or eligible physician in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Preventive Health
• Minimum of three years of experience in clinical supervision and leadership of medical professionals
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• U.S. citizenship and five years of U.S. residency
• Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and obtain security clearances

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a detention, correctional, or residential healthcare setting
• Proficiency in Spanish
