Northern Montana Hospital (NMH) is the center of a comprehensive system of medical and health care services, staffed with a team of caring professionals who are dedicated to meeting the growing needs of our Hi-Line communities. The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and facilitate evidence-based quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop process improvement initiatives
  • Extract patterns from large data sets to deliver business insights
  • Evaluate patient care data to ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards
  • Investigate misconduct, noncompliance, or patterns of risk
  • Oversee post-discharge activities to ensure continuity of care during patient transitions
  • Identify patients benefiting from case management
  • Provide ongoing education and support to medical providers and nursing staff
  • Implement training and competency measurements for staff

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practice Nurse
  • Experience with EHR
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions
  • Ability to assess age-related patient needs
  • Skill in preparing records, writing reports, and correspondence
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Care Coordination or Case Management
  • Experience in transitional care
  • Leadership experience
