Climate Principal/Partner

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Equal’s climate and energy investment theses across key sub-sectors
• Proactively source high-quality early-stage opportunities through founder relationships and ecosystem engagement
• Lead investment diligence, including market analysis, expert calls, and memo writing
• Drive investment decisions and represent Equal on boards or in advisory relationships
• Support portfolio companies on strategy, hiring, go-to-market, and fundraising
• Build Equal’s brand through content, events, and ecosystem relationships
• Serve as lead for Equal’s Climate Capital Summit
• Support overall firm operations and workstreams

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience
• Background in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, or a high-impact operating role in climate/energy
• Strong familiarity with climate or energy markets, technologies, and value chains
• Prior experience leading investments or owning diligence processes preferred
