About the role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the Climate Litigation Database and its AI-powered features
  • Work with developers and external partners to implement features that respond to legal and research needs
  • Design and implement AI-assisted intake workflows, including tools to monitor news feeds and legal sources
  • Implement and oversee AI-assisted tagging and categorization systems with human review workflows
  • Develop and maintain quality control protocols, including automated flagging of incomplete or inconsistent records
  • Support analytics functions such as trend analysis across jurisdictions and time-to-resolution tracking
  • Oversee data quality and content standardization across various jurisdictions
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform usability for researchers, legal practitioners, and the public

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in public policy, environmental studies, computer science, IT, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in database management, data quality workflows, or legal research
  • Experience in project management or website/database maintenance
  • Proven experience collaborating with data scientists and engineers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools for classification, tagging, or automated workflows
  • Interest in or exposure to law, litigation, and climate change policy
  • Demonstrated experience in information systems, sustainability, or environmental law
  • Strong organizational, project management, writing, and editing skills
  • Ability to work with diverse constituencies and support an inclusive work environment
