About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop client technology road maps and vision
- Serve as the main point of contact and escalation point for engineers
- Manage customer relationships and oversee all technical projects
- Identify potential obstacles and suggest operational and security improvements
- Manage and coach engineers through knowledge sharing and root cause analysis
- Mentor, train, and encourage employee engagement and productivity
- Execute support strategies and drive performance through metrics and reporting
- Participate in organizational initiatives to improve company functions and processes
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD)
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server Platforms, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Experience with endpoint threat management (Sophos or similar)
- Understanding of virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, Firewalls)
- Experience implementing enterprise networking equipment (Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti)
- Understanding of Azure cloud architecture and implementation
- Ability to create and maintain detailed technical and procedural documentation
- Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an MSP environment using ConnectWise
- Scripting and automation knowledge (PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code)
- Financial industry experience with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, or FactSet
- Experience with Google Workspace, Box, Duo, or Okta
- Experience with cybersecurity solutions like Crowdstrike, Carbon Black, or Cylance
- Familiarity with mail security gateways like Mimecast or Proofpoint
