About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a reception team of 24 staff members, including rostering and support
- Manage end-to-end referral appointment requests, including scheduling, financial estimates, and patient histories
- Proactively manage client expectations and resolve or escalate feedback and issues
- Maintain public-facing hospital areas to an impeccable standard
- Monitor and report on customer service trends and metrics
- Provide administrative support and assist with social media and marketing efforts
Requirements
- Proven experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting
- Previous experience in team management or a leadership capacity
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency with computer systems and scheduling software
- Ability to remain calm and empathetic in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine love for animals
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or Degree in Business Administration or a related field
