About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operational needs of the Client Services unit, including planning workflows and coordinating staff service schedules.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to Client Services Advisors and Assistants in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing training sessions regarding admissions, financial aid, student accounts, and university policies.
  • Resolve escalated enquiries and complaints from students, families, and stakeholders with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Advise students on program, application, and course requirements while providing guidance on government financial aid programs like OSAP.
  • Track program metrics to identify trends and recommend process improvements to management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for university colleges, faculties, and other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of experience.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a post-secondary student service environment.
  • Proven experience interpreting and applying undergraduate admissions and financial aid policies.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a high-volume client service environment, including training and scheduling staff.
  • Proficiency with student information systems such as Slate, ROSI, AS400, or HUB applications.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including spreadsheet management and presentations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive or emotionally charged situations with tact and empathy.
