About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the client onboarding process and account creation for individuals and legal entities using Docfox and unit registry systems.
- Perform validation checks on client documentation to ensure compliance with FICA requirements and relevant RMCP.
- Follow up on outstanding information and documents with clients, providing regular feedback and exceptional service.
- Capture regulatory classifications (FATCA, ASISA, SARB) and tax classifications (DWT, IWT) accurately.
- Work closely with Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure adherence to FICA RMCP and submit high-risk clients for review.
- Implement and maintain process controls using workflow management to ensure all items are updated and escalated appropriately.
- Review current client data and perform remediation where FICA requirements are not met.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a client onboarding role.
- Sound understanding of FICA, DWT, and FATCA legislation.
- Knowledge of the UT Manco environment and operations.
- Matric as a minimum requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
