Client Routing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain electronic logging device (ELD) systems for drivers
• Track and monitor drivers through GPS systems and update assignments daily
• Coordinate truck maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance with vendors
• Print, schedule, and log customer return deliveries
• Route deliveries using SAP and geographic area/cubic space analysis
• Coordinate delivery and pickup appointments via phone and email
• Manage freight shipping through carrier networks and create Bills of Lading (BOLs)
• Plan and execute approximately 20 delivery routes per day within strict time windows
• Build routes manually using Thomas Guide and physical street maps
• Analyze product dimensions and pallet configurations to maximize truck capacity
• Coordinate vendor pickups to minimize drive time and maximize efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Route Specialist, Transportation Specialist, or similar logistics role
• Previous experience managing delivery drivers and delivery routes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP
