About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage partnership renewals, engagement, and retention activities for the Industry Catalyst Network.
- Cultivate and maintain proactive relationships with industry partners, affiliates, and collaborators.
- Research and align DSI resources with the strategic and technological priorities of partner organizations.
- Identify and communicate opportunities such as workshops, faculty research, and collaborative engagement to partners.
- Maintain accurate records of partner interactions and engagement metrics within HubSpot.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new partners, including communicating benefits and engagement pathways.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for partners regarding professional development, innovation, and workforce development.
- Collaborate with DSI communications, events, and program teams to execute partner-facing programs and workshops.
- Prepare regular reports on partner engagement, outreach activities, and faculty collaborations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in partnership management, client relations, business development, or higher education engagement.
- Demonstrated experience managing relationships with external stakeholders, partners, or sponsors.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with faculty, researchers, and corporate representatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business writing and presentations.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
- Experience working in higher education, innovation ecosystems, or academic-industry partnership environments.
- Familiarity with Columbia University systems and research environments.
- Interest in or familiarity with data science, artificial intelligence, or emerging technologies.
