Client Partner - Public Sector

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with stakeholders across central government departments, agencies, and public bodies.
• Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact, understanding the priorities and regulatory environment of UK public sector clients.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure projects meet Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and comply with relevant policies.
• Identify and validate growth opportunities within public sector accounts, including upselling and expansion into new departments.
• Shape strategic proposals and responses to public sector briefs using frameworks such as G-Cloud and Digital Outcomes and Specialists (DOS).
• Take accountability for account-level commercials, ensuring alignment with public sector procurement rules and pricing models.
• Champion social value initiatives to ensure project delivery contributes positively to government social value frameworks.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in a client-facing digital consultancy, agency, or technology-led environment.
• Significant focus on UK public sector or central government clients.
• Demonstrable experience managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver digital platforms, products, or services.
• Deep understanding of public sector procurement and frameworks (e.g., G-Cloud, DOS).
• Knowledge of GDS standards and the unique requirements of government clients.
• Eligibility for, or previously held, Security Clearance is advantageous.
