Client Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage major water key clients and establish strong professional relationships through regular communication
• Develop existing business within the environmental sector and identify future market opportunities
• Project manage work orders by monitoring daily progress and communicating with senior laboratory production staff
• Ensure strict adherence to client-supplied program information and quality standards
• Compile monthly performance and quality reports
• Actively market laboratory services through phone and face-to-face client contact
• Prepare quotations, follow up on leads, and assist the client services team with tenders
• Provide technical information to customers and issue final certificates of analysis after conducting final checks
• Liaise with sub-contractors and work collaboratively within the client services team

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Water or Environmental laboratory setting
• Solid understanding of NATA and ISO 9001 standards
• Strong working knowledge of quality systems, policies, and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional approach
• Demonstrated judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong customer service focus and ability to build rapport

Preferred Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Science
• Working knowledge of major water operations
