About the role

Responsibilities

  • Actively identify and generate new business within the Metropolitan Detroit Area, focusing on large-scale potential customers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for new large customers, establishing strong relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Diagnose customer needs and propose world-class solutions to secure new contracts.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with MillerKnoll dealer partners to drive business results.
  • Manage the initial sales project from start to finish, including sales strategy formulation and resource coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to capture market share from competitors.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce (CRM) data to support monthly sales forecasting and reporting.
  • Facilitate smooth account transitions to regional sales roles once long-term relationships are established.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of successful experience in contract or capital goods selling.
  • Proven expertise in new business development and lead generation.
  • Advanced skills in strategic selling, negotiation, and consultative sales processes.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
