About the role
Responsibilities
- Actively identify and generate new business within the Metropolitan Detroit Area, focusing on large-scale potential customers.
- Serve as the primary contact for new large customers, establishing strong relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Diagnose customer needs and propose world-class solutions to secure new contracts.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with MillerKnoll dealer partners to drive business results.
- Manage the initial sales project from start to finish, including sales strategy formulation and resource coordination.
- Identify opportunities to capture market share from competitors.
- Maintain accurate Salesforce (CRM) data to support monthly sales forecasting and reporting.
- Facilitate smooth account transitions to regional sales roles once long-term relationships are established.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of successful experience in contract or capital goods selling.
- Proven expertise in new business development and lead generation.
- Advanced skills in strategic selling, negotiation, and consultative sales processes.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
