About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead KYC operations and governance for complex client segments within Corporate and Investment Banking.
- Partner with Middle Office and business stakeholders to align KYC operations with growth plans and ensure seamless client onboarding.
- Manage the KYC book of work, including prioritization, capacity planning, and workload allocation.
- Deliver regulatory renewals within defined timelines through effective milestone tracking and escalation management.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with KYC Policy, Compliance, Quality, Technology, and Control teams.
- Lead and manage team leaders to ensure productivity, quality, and consistency of delivery.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to develop high-performing teams.
- Identify and execute process improvements to support continuous KYC transformation and automation initiatives.
- Promote a strong risk and control culture, ensuring timely escalation of issues and effective governance.
Requirements
- Strong experience in financial services, investment banking, compliance, or consulting.
- Deep exposure to KYC, AML, CDD, and EDD standards.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams, including leading managers of individual contributors.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across various seniority levels.
- Proficiency in Excel and presentation platforms for reporting and communication.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Ability to manage complex, ambiguous situations and drive scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading large-scale KYC or compliance transformation initiatives.
- Prior experience in managerial roles overseeing managers within KYC, AML, or compliance functions.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or similar frameworks.
