Client Care Attendant

Responsibilities

• Follow KARDEX for patient care needs including communication, meal assistance, transferring, and hygiene
• Execute individualized care plans addressing diet restrictions, safe transferring, and fall prevention
• Report patient condition changes to the Registered Nurse promptly
• Assist with psychosocial patient needs and respond to call bells
• Document care and changes in patient condition using hospital policy
• Operate equipment such as lifts and wheelchairs
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety standards and using personal protective equipment

Requirements

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)
• Personal Support Worker Certification from an accredited program
• At least one year of full-time equivalent work experience within the past three years
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet usage, and Outlook
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate preferred
