Client Care Attendant

Responsibilities

• Support patients' daily routines including meal assistance, hygiene, grooming, and toileting
• Execute individualized care plans addressing diet restrictions, safe transferring, and fall prevention
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, such as skin integrity, mental status, and nutritional factors, to the Registered Nurse
• Assist with psychosocial patient needs and respond to call bells promptly
• Document care and patient changes accurately using hospital-approved systems
• Operate medical equipment such as lifts and wheelchairs safely
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety standards and using personal protective equipment

Requirements

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Current registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)
• Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certification from an accredited program
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word), Internet usage, and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional team

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time equivalent work experience within the past three years
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate
