About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain packaging and warehouse equipment for clients within a 100-mile radius of Detroit
- Facilitate equipment installation, start-up, warranty service, and preventative maintenance
- Train customers on proper equipment operation, care, and maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize client downtime
- Maintain organized service records, manage spare parts inventory, and communicate client needs to management
- Promote Preventative Maintenance Programs and make equipment recommendations to clients
Requirements
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills
- Experience reading equipment and electrical schematics/drawings
- Electrical and mechanical experience through military or equivalent training
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated and organized with ability to prioritize work independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
