Client Account Specialist (IP Billing)

Responsibilities

• Process narrative edits and time and cost adjustments
• Generate monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports as directed by clients
• Maintain and update billing records to ensure timely disbursement
• Enter attorney time to meet strict deadlines
• Assist attorneys and legal administrative assistants with client inquiries
• Address internal and external inquiries regarding billed/unbilled totals, payment status, and matter history
• Assist partners in editing and finalizing bills
• Participate in accounts receivable collection efforts
• Support team projects, including document accuracy reviews and logging documents in management systems
• Maintain professional contact with clients, attorneys, and staff while observing strict confidentiality

Requirements

• Medical or law firm billing experience is required
• Working knowledge of accounting functions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and use good judgment
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with billing systems such as CMS, EIS, or Prebill Viewer
