Cleveland Student Shuttle Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate a 22-passenger transit shuttle on set routes throughout the Greater Cleveland Area, including locations such as Crocker Park, University Circle, and Downtown.
• Drive students during scheduled shifts from Thursday through Sunday.
• Take student attendance during boarding and exiting to ensure all passengers are accounted for safely.
• Communicate updates, issues, and successes to the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement.
• Troubleshoot operational issues in collaboration with Campus Safety and Student Leadership and Involvement.
• Provide maintenance updates on the vehicle to Student Leadership and Involvement and Facility Operations.
• Provide recommendations regarding route changes and service improvements.
• Serve as a positive representative of Oberlin College and Conservatory.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Ohio passenger Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Must maintain insurability as demonstrated by Oberlin College and pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
• Ability to assist physically challenged passengers, including those in wheelchairs, on and off the vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with students and staff.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to adhere to a set schedule.
