Clerk Typist II

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex clerical work including typing, word processing, and document processing for the Children & Youth department.
• Serve as a secretary to the Superintendent, Program Director, and Administrative Assistant.
• Type correspondence, memos, reports, court summaries, and Coleman forms from handwritten drafts.
• Manage departmental mail, faxes, and phone calls while ensuring all forms in the file room are stocked.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all work-related activities and sensitive information.
• Compile and maintain new intake records, training logs, and monthly program forms.
• Evaluate and make independent decisions regarding daily work priorities to meet deadlines.
• Proofread all typed materials for accuracy and typographical errors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with a Business Curriculum.
• 1 year of general clerical experience.
• Must provide and maintain Pennsylvania criminal clearance.
• Must provide and maintain Child abuse clearance.
• Must provide and maintain FBI fingerprint clearance.
