Clerk, Route Settlement

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile all case and pallet activities in and out of the warehouse and fresh returns from distribution routes
• Audit daily route transactions, including sales and inventory, to ensure adherence to standardized policies
• Review handheld and Maestro transactions affecting inventory, invoicing, and truck adjustments
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Inventory Control, and Accounts Receivable to resolve discrepancies regarding deliveries, payments, and claims
• Ensure end-of-day documentation, such as invoices and BDRs, is received from drivers in a timely manner
• Investigate inventory discrepancies using exception reports and reconcile daily
• Manage customer claims and investigate debit notes, collecting proof of delivery (POD) when required
• Verify deposit slips against handheld collection summaries and scan documentation for the A/R group

Requirements

• Post-Secondary Diploma, Certificate, or training, preferably with an accounting background
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with computerized accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and perform well under pressure
