About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance and service requests by creating work orders and communicating with staff regarding emergency and non-emergency issues.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and facility repairs.
- Serve as a communication hub by responding to student and resident inquiries and providing updates on work orders.
- Manage key and access systems and coordinate with maintenance teams, supervisors, and vendors.
- Maintain and analyze facility and work order data to support reporting and operational tracking.
- Research information and prepare, review, and analyze documents such as reports and applications.
- Create and maintain complex databases and troubleshoot database problems for staff.
- Compose correspondence and advise staff or faculty on the interpretation of specific policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Four years of progressively responsible related clerical office experience, undergraduate education, and/or post-high school clerical training.
- Proficiency in computer software, online systems, and complex databases.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, students, and the public.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and interpret institutional policies accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer service and answering phone calls.
- Experience supporting operations in facilities, maintenance, housing, or a similar environment.
- Proficiency in using a variety of computer systems efficiently.
