About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support within the County Clerk's Court Office to maintain legal records for civil, family, and felony cases
- Receive and review filings for statutory requirements and docket pleadings
- Maintain files in accordance with established protocols and manage electronic filing systems including KentCourt e-File, Webtecs, OnBase, and CourtView
- Collaborate with prosecutors, attorneys, probation officers, judicial staff, and law enforcement to provide information on case pleadings
- Assist the public via telephone and in person regarding case status, court operations, and court procedures
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- One year of clerical experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong skills in filing, maintaining office records, and operating various office equipment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations
