Clerical Assistant III

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex clerical duties and provide departmental support using electronic record systems (EPIC)
• Maintain electronic information, filing, and retrieval systems
• Manage reception duties and provide excellent customer service
• Register, book, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments in person and over the phone
• Execute additional clerical functions consistent with the job classification as required

Requirements

• Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent
• At least six months of recent related experience in a healthcare environment
• Proficiency with computers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Office Administration diploma or certificate
• Experience with EPIC electronic record systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology
